Drawing from themes of social dynamics and art emulations, the music of “unpredictable” (Third Coast Review) composer and curator Ty G. Bloomfield (b. 2000, Chicago) engages audiences in immersive sound experiences with intimate, yet electric soundscapes.The recipient of a 2025 Fromm Foundation Fellowship, his works have been presented at festivals and venues such as the Ear Taxi Composer Festival, the Composers Conference at the Avaloch Farm Music Institute, Lake George Music Festival, and the Dublin International Chamber Music Festival and has collaborated with artists such as the JACK Quartet, One Found Sound, Unheard-Of//Ensemble, and the Cincinnati Song Initiative. He serves on faculty at Eastern Michigan University and holds degrees from the University of Michigan (M.M.) and Illinois State University (B.M.).
