T. gregory bloomfield

Dedicated to connecting music to our relationships to memory, childhood, love, and culture, the music of composer T. Gregory Bloomfield distorts time and meter and obscures melodies to create a variety of electric, yet contemplative environments for the mind to become lost within. Recognized for his “unpredictable” (Third Coast Review) sound and approaches, his works resemble an eclectic range of mediums, collaborations, and inspirations, regularly working across or becoming inspired by a variety of art forms. Ty’s compositions have been performed by leading ensembles and orchestras, including the New Jersey Symphony, American Composers Orchestra, Hypercube, TAK Ensemble, JACK Quartet, ensemble vim, and Unheard-Of//Ensemble. Currently, he is a graduate student at the Curtis Institute of Music, studying composition and electronic music.
